To celebrate the Dutch Queens’s Day, we decided to have dinner at the Belgian Beer Cafe with friends. (yeah, there’s no Dutch cafe really, so next closest is a Belgian one!)
It was a bit expensive (especially the beers!!), but was very nice.
Afterwards we had a drink at the Moon and Sixpence, across the road.
Today is Anzac day, and after seeing the service at the park on the foreshore, we biked around the Swan. In South Perth we stopped and had lunch.
It was very, very good!
And the two support acts, Little Birdy (a Perth band), and Bright Eyes (US) were also good.
Michael Stip actually came onto the stage to introduce the supports, and nobody noticed it was him until he started talking, ha ha!
Burswood Dome is a big ugly concrete thing, but the ’screening clothes’ helped, and it was all ok. Interesting seeing all the posters of bands that have been in the past. Perth doesn’t get all the big names, but there’s still been a lot!
