EDIT: 17 Pubs in Perth have extended opening hours, see this post!
I have finally got the lowdown on what is happening in Leederville (or not!), thanks to an email from the Town of Vincent, and a link from Ryano to the Football West website.
Australia vs. Japan Monday June 12 – the Leederville Hotel, Oxford St Leederville 6pm till 12am (for a 9pm kick-off)
- Big screen
- 96FM live Broadcast and 96FM Thunder appearances
- Panel show Competitions and prizes all night!
Australia vs. Brazil Sunday June 18 – Members Equity Stadium, Pier St Perth 7pm till 3am (for a 12am kick-off)
- See Perth Glory vs. Malaysian Under 23 National Team
- Performances by John Stevens (Noise Works) and Ian Moss (Cold Chisel)
- Food and drink available throughout the night
- Big screens to watch the game Live 96FM Broadcast!
Tickets are $10 and can be pre-purchased at Members Equity Stadium from Wednesday June 7.
There are plenty of other pubs that will have big screens up for the matches in the normal evening hours, but it seems some are still waiting for approval to be open late to be able to show the middle of the night games that the Socceroos play.
You could just have a quiet night at home, or a party with friends; SBS is broadcasting all the games live.
Or you could do something different entirely! I’ll keep you updated on other events! 😉
UPDATE: Metro City in Northbridge look like they’ll be screening all matches. $5 cover charge, unless you have a group of 10 or more. The poster tells us quite a bit, but I can’t find any confirmation on their website…
UPDATE 2: Matt from Lambie.org has made a nice overview of the Perth times of all the World Cup Matches. Check it out here. Thanks again Matt, as I said, it has already proved useful to Pascal!
Hi Simone,
I’m more than happy for you to link to my site from yours, and I’m glad that your husband was making use of my Perth-oriented TV guide 🙂
