monster_magnet

Monster Magnet perform in Perth on Thursday 10 September 2009, at Metropolis Fremantle.

Monster Magnet will go down in music history as retro rock visionaries. Fusing their metal, punk, space rock, and psychedelic influences, the band developed a sludgy, feedback-heavy hard rock sound indulging their sex and drug-fueled fantasies. They become one of the most successful and influential bands of the era’s burgeoning rock movement.

Tickets on sale 29 May.

Doves perform at Capitol in Perth on Saturday 1 August 2009.

It’s been four long years since the Doves’ last sold out Australian tour, and Secret Sounds is thrilled to announce the return of Jimi Goodwin and twin brothers Jez and Andy Williams this winter to play a handful of shows.

This trio from Manchester has a catalogue of the most grandiose, meticulously produced albums of the decade. Their fourth offering “Kingdom of Rust” captures the same mix of atmospheric rockers and heartfelt ballads which showcases their talent for crafting deeply personal songs, that has characterised each of their previous records.

Tickets on sale 4 June from Heatseeker for $66 + booking fee.
