Cesar Millan brings his U.S. sell out tour to Australia and will be at Burswood Dome in Perth on Sunday 7 June 2009.
The star of the Emmy-nominated hit series “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan” brings his magic and wisdom about dogs and dog psychology to a unique LIVE event. Fans of the show and dog lovers alike will be immersed in Cesar’s world, as the best-selling author of Cesar’s Way reveals his secrets to happier, healthier relationships between humans and their canine companions.
Cesar Millan LIVE will donate $1.00 from every ticket towards a local dog charity in each city.

It’s Royal Show time again!
It’s on from this Saturday, 27 September,to Saturday 4 October 2008, at Claremont Showgrounds.
A visit to the Show is a new experience every year with entertainment and special attractions never seen in WA before. This year will be dazzled by international acts, home grown Western Australian entertainment, animals on parade, in competition and horsing around the Main Arena.

The Perth Royal Show is Perth’s biggest community event attracting 400 000 visitors from the city and the country every year. With a rich history spanning 170 years, the Show is an iconic social and cultural event which showcases WA agriculture, small business and entertainment.
It’s spring, and time again for the Perth Royal Show!
This year it’s happening from Saturday 29 September to Saturday 6 October, as usual at the Claremont Showgrounds.

Free matinee film screenings have started again at the Alexander Library in Perth, each Wednesday from 12.30 at the Perth Cultural Centre (north of central train station), until November.
The Fremantle Village Art Markets are held from 10am to 5.30pm every Thursday until the end of April.
The Mandjar Markets are held at the Waterfront in Mandurah every Sunday from 1 to 5pm until the end of April.

The Spirit of the Horse, a two and half hour choreographed horse show including special effects, will be happening at Burswood Dome in Perth on 26 and 27 May 2007. In short, it’s ‘equestrian theatre’.
The acts include – the incredible stunt & trick riding troupe from california known as – ‘the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls’ & the wizardry brilliance & master of trick riding & comedy – american sensation & showstopper ‘Tommie Turvey Jnr’. There will also be ‘the running of the mob’ at the opening of the show – ‘dressage’ – ‘whip cracking’ and a spectacular ’showjumping competition’.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketek from 2 April, and prices vary from $40 to $80, depending on concession, adult or junior status, A or B reserve. There are also family tickets available.

Perth Zoo always have some good events on in the summer. This year, the following events have so far been announced:
Happy Zoo Year – Sunday 31 December 2006
Peters Trumpet Happy Zoo Year is Perth Zoo’s unique way of celebrating New Year’s Eve with your young family.
Share the excitement of counting down to the New Year on the giant kids’ clock at the special children’s time of 9:00pm with live band “Murphy’s Lore” and a host of other great entertainers. Tickets from BOCS.
The Rat Pack’s Back Concert – 10 February 2007
Australia’s very own Rat Pack has burst onto the scene in a tongue and cheek cabaret act, evoking the style of the infamous American Rat Pack. With a reverberant drum roll, they will take to the stage with soaring live vocals and fully choreographed, audience-interactive renditions of some of the world’s most loved songs, made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jnr. Tickets from BOCS for $40, infants free.
Fab Four – Beatles Tribute – Saturday 17 February 2007
This Perth Beatles Tribute band will be performing at the first Zoo Tribute night of the season. You have the chance to see the animals in the zoo for about an hour before the show. Tickets from BOCS.
ABBR – ABBA Tribute – Saturday 24 February 2007
The second Zoo Tribute night, with an ABBA tribute band. Please also note, that you will not have entry to the zoo for the whole day before this event, see details at BOCS.
Tripod – comedy night – Saturday 10 March 2007
Scod, Yon and Gatesy are Tripod – one of Australia’s most popular and distinctive comedy acts. After winning an ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release in 2005, they have decided that a performance at Perth Zoo will be the next pinnacle of their career! Tickets at BOCS for $40, infants free.
Some of the other things mentioned on the Perth Zoo website are the Christmas Capers weekend on 9 + 10 December, Amazing Asia Month in January, and Trish the Elephant’s 50th 20 and 21 January 2007 (long labour?!).

James Reyne and his band are touring… Wednesday at the Woodvale Tavern, Thursday at the High Road Tavern in Riverton, Friday at the Civic in Inglewood, Saturday down at the Margaret River Wine Festival and Sunday at Friends Restaurant in the Hyatt Centre.
Something with Numbers are playing at the Foundry in Cannington on Wednesday night, the Players Bar in Mandurah on Friday, HQ Leederville (all ages) on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night at the Rosemount Hotel and Sunday night at Mojo’s in North Freo.
Legends of Rock n’ Roll is a tribute show from Las Vegas for Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. It’s on at Burswood Theatre on Thursday night and tickets are $75 through Ticketek.
Little Birdy are playing at Players Bar in Mandurah on Thursday and Metropolis on Friday.
The Dave Mann Collective are playing at the Norfolk Basement in Freo on Thursday and the Rosemount on Friday.
Carus & The True Believers play at the Fly By Night Club in Freo on Friday night for the annual Freo Festival.
Darren Hanlon is performing at the Hyde Park Hotel on Friday night.
The City of Wanneroo presents Kate Ceberano at the Wanneroo Showgrounds on Saturday evening, it’s a free event.
Kulcha at the Quarry (Amphitheatre, City Beach) is happening with a Bleu Blanc Rouge Soirée on Saturday night. Tickets $45 at the gate or a bit cheaper in presale. Close to selling out.
The Harissa Club is performing at the Fly By Night Club on Saturday night, it’ll be a night of modern bellydance and live visuals, and then from 10.30 it’ll be Loungerama, a Bollywood/Arabic night club.
Carole King is performing at Sandalford Wines on Sunday night. Tickets extremely expensive!
The John Butler Trio are performing at Metropolis on Sunday and the Fly By Night Club on Monday (under 18’s only).
Yngwie Malmsteen is playing live at Metro City on Sunday night.

Arj Barker (comedian) is performing at the Playhouse Theatre from Monday to Sunday. Tickets $35 at BOCS.
Barry Humphries brings Dame Edna back to town with a Vengeance at the Regal Theatre from Tuesday till Sunday 3 December. Tickets range from $60 to $86 and are available through BOCS.
On the Outside is a one-woman show about an ex-superhero! It’s on at The Blue Room from Wednesday till Saturday 25 November. Tickets $20, conc $15.
Fyodor’s Demons, a play by ‘cutting-edge Perth independent theatre company Last Seen Imagining’, is being performed at the Blue Room until 18 November.
Everything Must Go, presented by Playlovers Inc. looks at musicals from the last 50 years. It’s happening at the Hackett Hall in Floreat until 18 November, and tickets are $20 through BOCS.
Circus Joseph Ashton is in Bassendean until Sunday 19 November. Standard adult tickets around $20.

The World Ultimate Club Championships Extreme Frisbee are being played at UWA Sports Ground, the final is on Saturday.

Two Wheels Good 06 is happening at the Fremantle Arts Centre on Sunday from 12 to 4pm. It involves a bike show, art exhibition, bike swap-meet, circuit and bike competitions.
The Italian Film Festival begins on Thursday at Luna Cinemas
Another yachting extravaganza comes to Fremantle: the Audi Etchells Worlds 2006. Fremantle Sailing Club will host the fleet, and the breakwater there wil be one of the best vantage points. It’s happening from Tuesday until 25 November.

WA’s Family Pet Xpo will be held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 November 2006. There will be small pets, large farm animals, reptiles, baby animals and more.
