Jim Davidson, stand up comedian from Britain, performs in Australia for the first time and will be at Burswood Theatre on Saturday 11 July 2009.

Jim Davidson has long been amongst the England’s most popular live entertainers, with his outrageous, no holds barred approach to adult humour. His many appearances on television include his own show The Jim Davidson Show which ran for five complete series; and the high rating TV sitcoms Up The Elephant And Round The Castle and Home James. In recent years, he is most famous for his television roles on Big Break and as host of the Generation Game. His one man show for Thames Television, Stand Up Jim Davidson was recorded on stage at London’s Royalty Theatre, and is a number one best seller on DVD.

The 2009 WAMi (Western Australia Music Industry) Festival on from 6 to 10 May at various location with many gigs and awards nights. On Wednesday 6 May the launch is at Forrest Place from 12 to 2pm and Karnivool perform for Triple J Live at the Wireless at the Rosemount from 8pm. The awards night (tickets through moshtix) is on Thursday, and the Saturday Spectacular is held throughout venues in Northbridge from midday.

Slava’s Snowshow is a theatrical clown show, and will be in Perth from 2 to 6 September 2009 at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco.

martin_shortDirect from Broadway, the master of improvisation, Martin Short, heads to Australia for the first time and will perform at Burswood Theatre on Tuesday 26 May 2009.

Well known as the eccentric wedding planner ‘Franck’ from ‘Father of the Bride’; his many appearances on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and alongside Chevy Chase and Steve Martin in ‘The Three Amigo’s’ Martin Short is bringing his one man show to Australia.
The show is a musical evening of comedy that highlights everything Martin Short does best, bringing together many of the characters who made him famous. The show includes a dynamic combination of songs, video, bits, and sketches.
