2 Day Lampwork Glass Beadmaking Workshop

This workshop runs over 2 days: Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March, from 10.00am -4.30pm each day.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:

This 2 day workshop covers the following:​
– Safety ​Setup and use of tools and equipment
– Types of glass used
– Control of the glass
– Laying a footprint of glass and winding a bead on a mandrel
– Shaping on a marver
– Pulling a Stringer
– Basic Decoration Skills – Dots and more

Decoration +
– How to use dots raised, build flowers, turn dots into stripes, create bubbles & more
– Using frit, foil & silver wire to decorate
– Encasing with clear glass
– Gravity Use
– Annealing

​Suitable for complete beginners

INCLUDES:
– 6 hours of professional tuition
– All materials, safety glasses and tool use

Annealing of glass beads produced in the workshop
* * beads need to be collected within the following week, or can be posted at an extra cost

REQUIREMENTS:
– Participants must be 16 years or older
– Long sleeves and long pants must be worn, preferably natural fibres
– Closed in shoes must be worn
– Long hair must be tied back
