Renowned photographic collaborators Ninety Degrees Five will display visually stunning photography of Australia’s South West in their upcoming exhibition, 2016, showing at Linton & Kay Galleries Perth from 4-31 December.
Ninety Degrees Five collaborators, Tony Hewitt, Peter Eastway, Les Walkling, Christian Fletcher, and Michael Fletcher have embarked on a three year mission to capture images of Shark Bay, coinciding with the 400th year anniversary of its first discovery in 1616 by Dirk Hartog.
2016 is the first completed stage of the photographic project featuring incredible contrasting imagery including red coastlines, white salt lakes, blue lagoons, and green and orange landscapes only made possible from an aerial vantage.
One of the five collaborators, Applecross photographer Tony Hewitt, was recently awarded professional photographer of the year and landscape photographer of the year by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and believes the project is special for both it’s subject matter and collaboration.
2016 is a work in progress providing an opportunity to reveal the many hidden layers of a diverse environment not clearly evident as we stand upon its surface.
