2016 International Volunteer Day Garden Party

Hosted by Volunteering WA and the Department of Local Government and Communities, the 2016 International Volunteer Day Garden Party is a wonderful event which acknowledges the outstanding contributions of volunteers in our communities. It is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to be acknowledged for their time, compassion, generosity, dedication and the enormous contribution they give to their community through their acts of volunteering. This year’s event will be attended by Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC, Governor of Western Australia and Patron of Volunteering WA and the Minister for Seniors and Volunteering, The Hon Paul Miles, MLA. In Perth each year, more than 500 volunteers come together in the stunning grounds of Government House to enjoy delightful refreshments and entertainment as they celebrate this special day of well-deserved recognition.
