2019 Australian & New Zealand Canopy Piloting Nationals
Parachutists are taking to Perth’s skies to battle for national glory as the 2019 Australian & New Zealand Canopy Piloting Nationals lands in York this April 4 – 7.
Canopy pilots from across the Trans-Tasman will compete in intermediate and open categories, with the winner/s of the four-day championship taking the title and ability to represent Australia in the upcoming World Championships. Run by Australian Parachute Federation and Skydive Australia, a large contingent of supporters, judges, officials, sponsors and spectators will descend on Avon Valley for the final dive pool of this huge national competition.
The champions of the other divisions took to the skies in Moruya in March. The canopy championship will capitalise on weather conditions, with each competitor jumping in three rounds each of speed, distance and accuracy – for a total of nine rounds.
